From 1978 to 1984 the Calais was the top of the line rear wheel drive G-Body Cutlass model.
I owned this vehicle from 1989 to 1999.
The odometer read 63,000 miles upon purchase and had 150,000 at the time of sale.
The original owner of the vehicle purchased it at "Town and Country Oldsmobile" in Tom's River, NJ.
Somehow it wound up at "Crabtree Nissan" in New Rochelle, NY.
Even though it would not start when I first tried to fire her up on the dealer lot for the test drive,
I knew right away this was the vehicle I had been searching for with it's 5.0 litre V-8, T-Tops,
just about every available option, and being a somewhat limited production 'Calais Model'.
Luckily it was just out of gas. The dealer filled it up and the rest is history.
